So heres my honest thoughts: I often have to reset the app in order to login sometimes which can be a slight inconvenience. One of my biggest complaints is every time we have a power surge, I have to manually restart the camera router otherwise it remains in the off position. The app itself works great and Ive even used the camera to watch our main living area while we were away. Summer needs to update the app to work better with newer iPhones better. This app functions on my 6S Plus, albeit not perfectly.

Hasnt worked in 2 months! When it worked before it took 6-7 tries to login. Called customer service..."hmmm, I dont know". "Maybe try restarting your phone". Dont waste your money on anything Summer.

Might work sporadically but not consistently and support desk is completely unhelpful.

I am upset that their hasnt been an update to this app since 2013, it is now Nov 2016. I cant even use this on my phone unless I use LTE & it doesnt work online anymore. I have 1 child who is 3 & I dont want to spend $200+ again when I dont think we will have another child. I should be able to use what I bought!

Has never allowed me to log in. Keeps giving me an invalid username and password even though it works online. Deleting this worthless app.

Both handheld monitor and app work in viewing my children.

We thought it would be such a great idea. We spent $325 on the devise and it is a piece of crap. Rarely works. You just never know when it will work or not.

Purchased this device in August. Had no problem until this past week. Im not able to login. Could be the new updated for the new iPhone 5s. Please fix it.

I like this app "Summer" by David Yang . It is basic and very simple to use once you have followed the activation instructions and created a user name and password on the website. This app works on my iPhone 5s and my iPad 2 and were downloaded from the App Store. There are 2 apps in the store for the iPhone and only 1 shows up for the iPad 2 so you will have to change the search from iPad only to iPhone only at the top of the App Store in order to download the Summer app and not the Summer Link app.

Signal freezes all the time. We paid too much for a product that is unreliable. Agree with other reviews, do not buy!!

Would be nice if the app could still run in the background while doing other things on your phone so that you can still here whats going on (kind of like FaceTime). Picture quality is poor, but does the trick.

Horrible app!!! Keeps crashing after 10 seconds. What a waste.

Hardware sells for $299 and is poorly made junk. After 3 months of use a full battery charge does not last very long. The app worked great for about a week and then nothing. Wont connect or we get an error message saying the camera isnt turned on, and it is. Replacing with a competitors video system. Throwing the summer in the trash.

App does not work. I receive one of two messages: 1) failed to login, please try again, or 2) email or password incorrect. If youre going to advertise this app in your literature, please make an effort to fix this app.

This doesnt replace the actual handheld monitor but its just nice to be able to pull up video and sound of whats going on in the babys room whenever I want. Pros are that you dont have to be on wifi for this to work, although its slower to load that way. Cons are that it times out (disconnects deliberately from the monitor) pretty quickly, doesnt allow for unlimited connections from different phones, and sometimes (probably 10% of the time) it doesnt connect the first time you try. Room for improvement, but not a horrible app, and does what its meant to do 90% of the time. It would be great if there were a record feature to record video (theres already a snapshot feature to take still photos from within the app).

Great for when I have walked away from the monitor that came with the camera and I want to take a quick peek at baby. Also great for other family members that want to peek in as well

9 times out of 10, the app will properly log in. All the other times it will say "failed log in" or "camera offline," even if the camera is on. If it wouldnt take so long to log in, this would be the perfect monitor and app. So far, not impressed.

Works great and love the fact family can view too.

Do not use this app is is not from summer infant look at the seller. If you did download and try to login change you password!!!!
